The search is ON for the best butchers in New Zealand!

Entries officially opening today for the 2022 Pact Packaging Young Butcher and ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice of the Year Competition.

The competition aims to find the best talent in the New Zealand retail meat sector, and this is your chance to showcase your skills and be recognised by both your peers and those within the industry. The exposure you can gain during the competition is next to none, giving you a fantastic head start in your career. Or, if you’re inspired by the Hellers Sharp Blacks, our national butchery team, then this is the competition to be in, as competition experience plays a key part in the selection process.

Regional competitions are happening throughout September, with the Grand Final taking place in Auckland on Thursday 3 November, at the Vodafone Events Centre.

The Dunninghams Mentorship Programme runs alongside the ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice of the Year competition and if you’d like to be connected to a mentor you can request this in the entry form.
